Green Packaging

Sustainability remains a crucial topic within the electrotechnical industry, with packaging playing a vital role in this discussion. In Europe, 40% of plastic and 50% of paper consumption is attributed to packaging, making industry-wide collaboration essential. EUEW’s Initiative Multiplier on Green Packaging provided a platform for the Dutch Federation, FEDET, to present its ‘Packaging Industry Plan’—a project aimed at reducing packaging waste and promoting a circular economy. By bringing together manufacturers, wholesalers, and installers, this initiative has gained considerable traction, with nearly 50 companies committing to its 2025 goals.
