VEG, the German Association of Electrical Wholesalers, was founded by 14 electrical wholesalers in Frankfurt 1910. The main objective of the association is to protect and promote the interests of affiliated companies to suppliers, industrial associations, and on a political level.

Today, the head office based in Bonn represents 76 companies with 878 business locations all over Germany and affiliated members in Austria. Approximately 20 000 employees generate an annual turnover of 9 billion euros. Each of the companies is also a member of one or more of the eight regional VEG associations.

The VEG is a member of the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade, Services BGA in Berlin.
